The pictures below show a journey. This 3 ft. by 4 ft. piece of drawing paper is clipped onto a large, smooth surfaced board. This work is titled Cannibalism. If you look at the picture long enough, I think you'll figure out how I chose the name. I used artist pencils and Micron ink pens to create this strange drawing.
Detailing a small mushroom in a huge picture.
Polishing up one of the big leaves in this huge picture.
The swirly trees in the background have texture now. All of the monsters finally have eyes. And work on the tiny village under the leaf near the bottom has begun.
Texture and details appear on the large drippy flowers on the left. The white monsters in the middle start getting their eyes filled in.
Mountains! Dunes?
More details on the drippy flowers on the right. Outlines for the last big leaf on the left.
The drippy flowers on the right are coming to life.
Shout out to the skilled frame specialists at Orly's Art Gallery & Custom Framing. My pieces would still be rolled up in packing tubes without their expertise! Friendly, knowledgeable, and fairly priced, I would recommend Orly's for every framing job, big or small. They have beautiful works of art on display and for sale, as well. Check them out!
